… Does a single quote make you want to read an entire book? Because that just happened to me with this quotation from Mari Ruti’s The Case For Falling In Love. Here’s the quote:

“Many of our grandmothers and mothers trapped themselves in loveless marriages and sacrificed their talents for the sake of their husbands. We are fortunate to be the inheritors of a more egalitarian culture. It’s for this reason that I find our self-help culture so alarming. This culture is trying to persuade us that the gains we have made as woman—the very gains that have given us freedom—are somehow a barrier to our romantic success.”

I think it’s time for a trip to the bookstore.
